Archiving and Preservation Policy

In the Journal of Multidisciplinary scientific knowledge (JMSK), we are dedicated towards making our research accessible, safe and available to long term use. Worthy scholarly publishing includes archiving and preservation. They contribute to the integrity of the scholarly record, and permit would-be readers, researchers, and institutes to read articles many years later.

To do this, JMSK will be involved in trusted archiving systems in which the published content is stored in dependable digital archives. These systems are created to safeguard the journal material against loss, corruption, or disappearance through the web, even when the very journal web site becomes altered or inaccessible in the future.

The archiving policy is comprised of:

  • Everlasting conservation of published journals in known online depositories.
  • Storage redundancy i.e. the storage of the content in more than one secure location to provide long-term security.
  • Consistent access, in order to have access to and reference articles reliably over time.
  • Academic preservation in accordance with the best practice guidelines on academic preservation as applied by libraries and research institutions.

Archiving also provides good citation and accountability in research. Maintaining the complete text of published articles and their metadata, abstracts and full text allow JMSK to preserve the retained value of the scholarly work of authors to be discoverable and useful in the years to come.

Should you have inquiries over the way archiving is done or where the journal material is stored, our editorial staff will be glad to give you more information.
