Peer Review Process

Peer review in the Journal of Multidisciplinary Scientific Knowledge (JMSK) is a critical component of quality and credibility of a published research. The journal has a systematic and balanced review procedure that assists authors and promotes academic quality.

Review Workflow

  • The first screening by the Editors:

All received manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team to see that they are in the scope of the journal and meet the submission criteria.

  • Double-Blind Peer Review:

Those that pass the initial screening are then submitted to subject experts to undergo peer review of manuscripts in the form of a double-blind peer review in which the identity of the authors and those of the reviewers remain undisclosed to each other to allow an objective review of the manuscripts.

  • Reviewer Assessment:

The reviewers conduct the assessment of the manuscripts according to the originality, clarity, methodology, academic relevance, and the contribution to the field in general.

  • Editorial Decision:

According to the recommendations of reviewers, the editor can choose to:

  • Accept the manuscript
  • Ask to have minor or major revisions.
  • Decline the submission
  • Revision and Resubmission:

In case of revisions, the authors are advised to take time to address the reviewers on the comments and provide the revised manuscript within the specified period.

Review Timeline

  • JMSK tries to issue a preliminary decision between 15 and 20 days of the submission.
  • The review schedules can also change according to the topic field and access to the right reviewers.

After being accepted a manuscript passes on to the production stage where it is edited, formatted and published. In the process, the journal keeps the author well informed and provides them with support of publication to facilitate a transparent and smooth ride.
