Publications Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Journal of Multidisciplinary Scientific Knowledge (JMSK) practices high moral standards throughout its spheres of publication. This paper explains ethical standards that are expected by the authors, reviewers, editors and the journal throughout the publication process. The provisions of these guidelines uphold equality and effective communication and honesty in the research activities and publication work.
For Authors
Any authors placing submissions to JMSK are expected to take into account the fact that:
- The given work is not published or reviewed in other places.
- All of the mentioned authors have made a significant contribution to the work and signed the final copy.
- The material references are pertinent and there is no plagiarism done in the work.
- There is full disclosure of the conflicts of interest (financial or non-financial).
- The research involving human, animal and delicate data is conducted in compliance with the current ethics and accepted practices.
Scientists are also obliged to keep records of what they use to fund their research or to open up on their findings of bad or inconclusive findings as well
For Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Partake in no distribution of unpublished material, or use unpublished manuscripts to their own interest.
- Provide objective and constructive feedback which would help improve the quality of the manuscript.
- Disclose the editorial staff as to whether they have ethical concerns or not, including plagiarism, duplication or conflict of interest.
- Decline to pursue the issue in case they suspect that they are unable to present a just critique.
When it comes to Editors and the Editorial Team
The editorial workers and the editors must:
- Hire on merit and without any discrimination, based on academic merit and relevancy.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts submitted and do not utilize the information to advantage self.
- Dealing with manuscripts should also be conducted without conflicts of interest which ought to be avoided and in the case that these conflicts cannot be handled without prejudice, they ought to recuse themselves.
- Ensure that reviews and journal policy make decisions informed and that they inform authors on decisions made.
Ethical Misconduct and Malpractice
JMSK is serious about ethical violations. The breaches of the ethical norms involve the following:
- Duplicating or transferring the work of some other person without crediting him.
- Publication or submission of one piece of content to two or more journals, which are relevant.
- Manipulation or inaccuracy of data or outcome.
- Ghost authorship or anonymous authorship.
- The peer review system should be anticorrupted by proposing fake peer reviewers.
The editorial team will conduct the investigations as perthe normal procedures in case of ethical issues. Violations could be detected and the manuscript could be rejected, published articles could be withdrawn, and the relevant institutions notified.
